Beginning your career: STEM or non-STEM?

Our Breakthrough2Cloud Graduate Programme is open to all candidates with or without a STEM degree or background in Cloud:

Those with a STEM degree, typically Computer Science The most common way to pursue a career in Cloud computing requires a university degree in Cloud computing or a related STEM subject, as well as industry-relevant work experience such as an internship. With a STEM/Computing degree you typically fast-track onto our graduate programme working on exciting customer projects from the start.

Those with a non-STEM degree – Bridge2Cloud If you don’t have a computing degree, we offer a conversion programme Bridge2Cloud typically lasting 12-18 months where you focus on the core skills you would have learned during a STEM degree. You will still work on Cloud projects, but allowances are made as your skills develop. The conversion programme is supplemented with formal training courses and certifications to help bridge knowledge gaps. Microsoft and Professional Qualifications

Whilst you may have a computing degree or related qualification, it’s important to supplement these with specific professional qualifications that help make your theoretical skills more relevant in the market.

Do you qualify for the Breaththrough2Cloud Graduate Programme?

You will need a degree (2:1 or higher).  Whether STEM or non-STEM, you will need to be an ambitious and driven graduate with a passion for technology. Cloud technology is evolving rapidly and it is most important to have a curious mind, able and willing to absorb new skills.  You also need to be an excellent communicator and able to work as part of a team.

The process is rigorous but open to all with no stereotypical pre-conceptions from Cloud Direct.
