Retrieving blocked email from Symantec Email Quarantine
Symantec Email Quarantine stores emails that the Anti-Spam service suspects are spam or newsletters. This prevents possible spam from reaching your normal email inbox. Emails are kept in Quarantine Portal for 14 days, unless you choose to delete them sooner.
This article shows how to access the Symantec Email Quarantine portal to retrieve emails that have been caught by the spam and antivirus filters.
Accessing Symantec Email Quarantine to retrieve blocked email
If you already have access to the Symantec Email Quarantine portal, then skip the next section and proceed directly to Retrieving blocked email. If you don't have access to the portal, then continue to, Creating a new password to access the portal.
Creating a new password to access the portal
If you don't already have access to the portal, then proceed as follows to gain access.
- Go to the Symantec Email Quarantine login screen at https://eu.quarantine.symantec.com/.
- In the Username field, enter your email address.
- Click Forgot your password?.
A new password will be emailed to you. You may then use your email address and the new password to access the portal.
Retrieving blocked email
To retrieve blocked email, proceed as follows.
- Go to the Symantec Email Quarantine login screen at https://eu.quarantine.symantec.com/.
- Enter your Username (email address) and Password, then click Sign In.
You are logged into the Symantec Email Quarantine portal. Your quarantined items (if any) will be displayed.
- Tick the checkbox next to the email you want to retrieve.
- Click the envelope with the arrow on at the top of the checkboxes.
The email will be sent to your email account.
- In the top right-hand corner of the screen, click your user name, and click Sign out, to leave the portal.
