Account Manager

Account Managers serve as the primary point of contact between customers and Cloud Direct, building trusted relationships and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. They are responsible for understanding each customer’s business objectives, identifying opportunities to address their evolving needs, and delivering solutions that drive value. By providing strategic guidance and outstanding account management, Account Managers foster long-term customer satisfaction, retention, and growth of Cloud Direct’s services.
This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 15 to 20 customer accounts, developing account strategies, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand the partnership while ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their investment
What you’ll be doing?
- Maintain existing Account revenues and prevent customers leaving by ensuring client needs are met, managing escalations promptly, and ensuring high satisfaction levels
- Grow Account revenues by gaining a deep understanding of the customer’s business goals and how they align with the services offered by Cloud Direct. Upselling existing services and cross-selling new services
- Relationship Management – acting as the main point of contact, building trust, and maintaining strong, long-term relationships. Achieved by on-site meetings where posssible.
- Internal Coordination:
- Acting as the voice of the customer within Cloud Direct
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to align solutions with customer needs
- Reporting and Analytics – tracking key account metrics such as Account Health, revenue & margin and engagement. Create reports and presentations.
- Produce and maintain Account Plans for all customers, identifying where opportunity exists, or equally where it no longer exists and the account should be moved to a more reactive Cloud Direct team to be managed.
- Contract Management of sales and renewals and negotiating new terms or contracts if required.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of a customer facing role, ideally from a B2C or B2B technology background.
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and ability to quickly build trust with stakeholders.
- Highly organised and process-orientated, able to follow sales methodologies and account management frameworks.
- Engaging and persuasive presenter, able to articulate value propositions with clarity and confidence.
Highly desirable:
- Previous sales experience
- Understanding of customer’s financials, industry trends and growth opportunities
- Able to utilise tools to analyse data, track performance, and spot trends
