LiveVault firewall and IP port rules
The following information identifies the ports and IP addresses that must be allowed on your network firewall to support LiveVault services.
Most of Cloud Direct's LiveVault customers will use only the European Data Centers. However, information for Data Centers in Canada and the USA is also included, for information only.
These address rules are for outbound connections from the protected server to the internet.

Glossary of terms

Vaults |
Vaults connections are used when needed, to send backup data and receive restore data. All connections to vaults use the LiveVault Fast Object Transfer Protocol, regardless of the port number used. |

Bridge |
This is a persistent connection used to transfer status information. All connections to bridges use the LiveVault Event Notification Protocol, regardless of the port number used. |
|
Provisioning |
This is used periodically to add a new system, and to check for updates. |
